If Richardson falls to 5... I'd be really tempted actually. Especially because he would also become cheaper. A lot of people think he could be the best player coming out of this draft.

Forte is a wildcard here because he could be used as a chip to move up if amd only if Emery truely thinks he will hold out

Let him be someone elses problem and let bell/bush get it done for half the money

Not to mention the thought of another high pick without the doofus making the pick (ja) excites me as there are many possibilities

Hell trade him for a lower first round (thats prolly his value) and snag us Konz at the end of the first to bolster our line

Completely unrelated but does anyone know Brewster (center osu) draft stock because we need a center.

rumor is Tanhenhill is going to Cleveland @ #4

I would love Richardson here, hes the north/south guy we need, he would be cost effective and would have a lower contract and i have a feeling will be a new face in the top 5-10 RB rankings

Yeah, it used to be that teams wanted to drop in the draft because they didnt want to overpay some unproven rookie. Now it seems like they want to move down to get a payoff like the Rams got from DC, combined with a weak top class this year.

i think that is really fair, they have the money to sign forte to a long term deal and we get a new RB and a higher 2nd round pick which could help us make two bold moves in the second round and save the team 7.7 million on the books. Id love to have Richardson as well escp come time in those mid december/january games when we will need to pound that ball down field in those nasty weather conditions. On a side note i think Richardson will be the new face of the NFL, we could use that these days
I hadn't thought about this but it intrigues me ... alot. I know some would scream to high Heaven trading Forte. But if it did happen and the others get the job done at RB he'd be forgotten soon enough.

    ( doubt it's gonna happen though )
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I think it does look tempting to trade---on paper. Then I think what will happen if the run game falters. If no one, let alone the team can make up for 40% of the workload then it would be more pressure on Jay, a new OC, and the offensive line that still needs work/help. I can't really see us being a lot more of a passing team. Jay would have a VERY brutal season w/o something matching the current run game.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Shorty, I see much of the same thing happening this year as what happened last season. The entire defensive line and linebacking corps of the opposition will line up to stop the run, and the defensive backfield will double up Brandon Marshall unless we solve the problem of getting another solid wide receiver. I am not too keen on the other receivers we have outside of Marshall and Bennett since Hester has never run good, clean routes and the rest of the wide outs have major issues. Hell, we don't even have Knox to rely on as a deep threat due to that horrific injury he sustained at the end of last season.
