This is why draft day is so fun and all these mocks even the "experts" are usually way off and just for fun

With all of these folks rising and dropping, I'm becoming more and more accustomed to the idea that we get Dre Fitzpatrick @ #19, and I'm just fine with that.

Jones may have started the process as a 2nd round pick, but he has moved himself up with his incredible combination of size/speed and playing strength.
At DE who is a better value?
Coples is falling like a rock.
Upshaw is falling like a rock after testing like an OLmen.
Perry is considered by most as a 2nd round pick.
Mercilus is a risk.
I think you answered your own question here...at 19 Coples, Upshaw & Perry are probably all better values than Chandler Jones. I agree about Mercilus, he's a big risk. I'm not crazy about burning a 1st on a guy that's only produced 1 year in college.
I like Jones quite a bit, just not at 19. The Bears (or any team in the top 20) could probably trade back to the end of the 1st or early 2nd and still get him. I doubt they could do that with the other DE's that have been rated ahead of him throughout this process. Also, I'm curious about what mocks you've seen him going in the first because almost everything I've seen has Jones going in the early to mid 2nd.
Again, I don't think he's a bad player by any means, but at 19 there's almost certainly going to be better value still on the board IMO.
