Its funny how when this whole Forte contract issue came out that everyone was in Forte's corner, but now after so many decent offers and hearing "i want more" to many time the fan base is turning on him, honestly if forte wants to be a great in this game Chicago is the place for him, but we can only handle so much crying. So to that i say if he won't play trade him, Bush has been a beast but always in the shadows.

If you really believe that I have some ocean front property next to my Colorado home I can let you have cheap. Every year some promising rookie gets a mysterious chronic injury in preseason that lands him on IR away from the prying hands of other team were he on the PS instead.
The only announcement the Bears made was that Unga left of "personal reasons". I think it was J.T Thomas who had the traditional "pulled hammy" last year. Just once I'd like to see it be because of and ingrown toenail or chronic bedwetting.

You are 100% correct moeman. I think last fall 99% of Bears fans were on the "pay that man his money" bandwagon but now that this has strung on for so long sentiment is changing. We see a chronic complainer like Briggs settle for a modest extension because he been through an experience where he found he wasn't worth what he thought he was.
Maybe Forte needs a little lesson in humility. Over the years the Bears have always done a decent job of retaining their stars with fair offers for extensions. Sign the deal Matt and if four years from now you're still putting up 1500+ yards per year as the #1 RB then get an extension tacked on like Briggs did. A four year deal averaging around $7.5 mil would be a fair offer right now and maybe he can get another $7.5 mil tacked on later.
Somewhere along the line this negotiation game needs an endpoint. Nobody is winning it right now. As far as the Bears are concerned Matt Forte is not worth and not going to get a better contract offer than the one on the table. If he thinks he can get it elsewhere then let him and his agent arrange an acceptable trade. The real issue here is that he's pouting because he can't market himself to the highest bidder. This has way too much to do with Matt Forte the individual and too little to do with Matt Forte the Chicago Bear and the team who gave him his shot as a 2nd round pick to begin with. On another team who had more offensive weapons would he have even done this well?

Oceanfront property in Colorado? No thanks. I wouldn't move to Colorado if YOU paid ME. I'm close enough to the beach as it is and it is highly overrated.
Unga's pulled hammy is what I read had happened. I don't care if his vagina has road rash or whatever the issue may be. I only care if he plays and plays well. Put him to use or drop him.

I am pulling hard for Harvey, I hope he comes in and kicks ass. I believe he will play well on special teams also, as I know he played lb in highschool as well as rb. GO UNGA!!

I'd be more than OK with Bush/Bell/Unga + an additional 2nd Pick (or better)

I think this is an excellent question though, worthy of discussion. I would like to know the answer myself.

I'm thinking with his salary demands, he is untradeable. The bears are not letting gor for less than a #1. Would you give away a #1 only to have to pay him AP money?
Not too many teams have the ability to that at this point anyway. Most teams have used up most of their cap. Of the ones that are left, one has to decide that Forte is worth the money. Then they have to also pony up their #1 on top of that. Just don't see it happening. I think its going to either be play for Chicago under the FT tag or sit. He has put himself into a corner demanding AP money. Very few moves left to him with those demands.

Frankly, that thought crossed my mind too.
Bush/Bell/Unga might just be good enough to make an additional high draft pick + $7million more in cap space seem like a pretty good exchange for Forte's whiny ass.

It IS a good question. I'm going to give this my best shot based on what I know (which aint much). The short answer is "Yes", a trade CAN be made. That then beggs the question, HOW? Does anyone know if Forte was given an exclusive or non-exclusive tag? This may make a difference as I believe the Non-Exclusive tag would allow Forte's agent to seek an acceptable trade for all parties, while the exclusive tag would prohibit him from doing so (Only the Bears can talk to him and other teams). This makes a difference because in order to trade Forte, he has to sign the tag. Without him signing the tag, the Bears have no technical "rights" to trade because the tag itself cannot be transfered (I don't think). The tag is not in and of itself a contract, but moreso, protection against losing a player. If another team is interested, then some kind of "letter of understanding" would likely have to be prepared in agreement with Forte's camp, that garrantees him the trade to a team that is willing to pay IF he signs the tag.
So...like I said...it can be done, and the closer we get to draft day, the more likely I think it will happen (on draft day), but all parties will have to be ready to agree quickly or it all falls apart. I'm sure they will all execute a number of legal documents securing commitments from one another that they will honor "this" if "That" happens on draft day.
