If Quinton Coples falls to 19?
If Quinton Coples falls to 19 do the Bears have to pick him?
This guy has top 5 physical skills and the size [6'6" 285lbs] that the Bears need.
However it appears he did not really try this season and their are such serious work ethic concerns that Mayock called Coples un-draftable.

My feeling is that he was dominant 2 years ago and was ranked as a top 5 pick.
He apparently played not to be injured this season and was not as good, or as Mayock put it he did not have any good tape.
But he had 8 sacks when he was not trying and having a bad year, which is impressive.
I think we have the coaches and locker room to get the best from this guy.

I think we'd snap him up there. Im worried about the attitude but I think we'd coach that out of him. good pick at 19, i cant see him lasting til there though

This is all news to me. If he truly has work ethic concerns I would have to assume that he'll slip passed the top ten. I know there are some teams that could care less about it. The fact that Haynesworth got such a big paycheck and wasn't willing to do anything for it makes me believe that lack of work ethic is something coaches think they can fix.

I would RUN TO THE PODIUM to pick him. Absolute no brainer IMO.
DeCastro and Kuechly are the only players that would give me pause if they were still on the board.

If by some miracle he is there @ 19 you give your card to the commissioner in record time. He is the most talented DE in this draft. In fact he maybe the most talented player in the draft period. He fits the mold of BPA & fills a major need for our boys. At worst he'll be good, but he has the ability to a great DE. Well worth the risk at #19. I don't think we'll have to worry about it. I don't think he makes it past the Bengals @17, but who knows.

If DeCastro or Coples it's DeCastro all the way. If we land Coples I hope we gain Zeitler in the 2nd.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I totally agree on the comment about DeCastro and Kuechly being the only guys that'd make me stop and think if all three are still on the board at #19. That said though, I could honestly see none of them being there. If Coples is there though, I snag him up in a heartbeat. The veterans on this team would motivate him to work his tail off throughout the season. While Mayock might not take him at all in the draft, somebody will. There's no doubt about that. And whoever does should land themselves one Hell of a beast on the line.
