Ok since were talking potential (much like Coples) which one of these guys do you choose
--Fletcher Cox
--Dontari Poe
--Michael Brockers

That's the way I see it too. Hopefully, the NT part of his resume will keep some teams away.

Peter King was all over us picking Kendall Wright.

We need all the help we can get on the DL.
A starter on the Bears line is a guy who get in in at least 50% of the snaps, LOL. The way we rotate players whose to say what a starter is. The only two sure things are Melton and Pep.

If Brockers is there he'd be a great pick, but I'm not convinced that he'll make it to 19. If so our DT rotation would be nasty with Melton, Brockers & Paea. Get a rotational DE in the middle rounds and we're in good shape on the D-line.

A DT group where "Toe" was low man on the totem pole would be pretty imposing and Lovies actually seems to prefer more quality and depth there than he does at DE. Chauncey Davis didn't look at all that bad at end but as far as a pass rusher goes he's another one of those guys like and Alex Brown. Steady but not all that great.
If Wootton can stay healthy and live up to his potential maybe we have a guy who can give Pep some rest for a few series. He's flashed some signs of having talent but he hasn't been healthy enough to play. That was so foolish using him on kick coverage in a preseason game last year. Let's hope he's recovered from that hurt too and comes to camp right back where he was last summer. We could use him.
If we were to be fortunate enough to be able to take Brockers and then took a shot at a guy like Irvin who is probably the best pure pass rusher in the entire draft in a middle round we may have a real nice combination of talents on that line. So far Emery has had a tendency to do things in a different manner than we're used to and he seems to have a real knack for maximizing his options and getting the best bang for his buck. I think that's what makes this draft so interesting. It's unpredictable.

For our purposes either Cox or Brockers shorty. Poe had a great combine but his game tapes weren't all that astounding. He's probably more of a project with huge upside. Cox and Brockers are more "road ready".

But does Peter King explain why and what we do with Earl Bennett is we draft Wright as a #2? Wright or any other first round WR is a luxury we really don't need and can't afford. Good player but the logic and common sense of taking him just isn't there Windy.

a DLine with
Peppers, Melton, Paea, Brockers, Toeaina, Idonije + 3rd rounder would be more than acceptable. I'd love it

Brockers is ok if only he plays the outside. WE have enough interior guys right now. Where is Coples being picked at?
