Reyes may be Draftable still in the 3rd in addition to Still. Lot of options. But I love your strategy of going LINES in 1-2 and getting good value with Quick at WR in 3. No need to overshoot in panic to reach for a WR earlier. There will be "big target" options for us as late as the 4th IMO and Quick is one of my favs as a mid-draft red zone weapon guy.
MP, I like Wolfe quite a bit too. NFL network add some highlights & praise for him. I just thought Bradham was a better value in the 4th. Reyes would be great value in the 4th too but I figured he would be long gone but ya never know.
As far as Quick goes in 2-3 years people may be calling him the best WR to come out if this draft.

Nice job Jim. Well thought out positionally. Couple of alternatives. I might add are Zeitler in two rather than Allen. I know Allen played OT in college but the scouts have have him pegged as an OG in the pros. You never know though. Tice likes OT's who can play OG and HE may like him more than Zeitler. I like Zeitler more for obvious reasons, LOL.

Another guy I like better than Devon Still who'd be a great find on three is Kendall Reyes out of UConn. Another one of those guys like Fletcher Cox and Brockers who can play 3t DT but also slide our to the edge. Even with Mercilus we still need another DT. If Quick doesn't slide to the fourth there will still be some WR's who are a fit.

Hardin they had in for an interview and because of his injury it's not at all unlikely that he'll slide down as far as the 5th. Guy has good size and he was Paea's teammate so it would seem to me that he's a guy we've had our eye on ever since 2010. Good pick.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Nice mock, I have the same first three picks but in the 4th I though we could pick up Keenan Robinson or Tank Carder then in the 5th go for best available DT. Then best available Corner in the 6th and Robert Blanton who can play CB or S in the 7th.

Thanks Soul. I like Reyes alot as do several others as I've been hearing he might go early rd 2. But the OG I really like is Amini Silatolu. I know the competition he faces is not A 1 but he just destroys people & is vert athletic.

I'll be ecstatic if we can do something like the following (in some order) the first 4 rounds:

    1) DE -- prob. Mercilus
    2) DT -- Reyes?
    3) OL -- Zeitler? Brewster?
    4) WR -- Quick, Toon, Jones?

I could see a DB or LB sneaking into this top 4 if a player is available that we just can't pass up but otherwise these seem to be our most pressing and realistic priorities.

That he would but Zeitler in the 3rd would be a miracle. Some have him rated above Glenn now as the #2 OG.

Rounds two and three are probably tougher to project than Round one Jim. What happens then will be somewhat driven by what we do in one but it's pretty certain that it will come down to one of the DE's or a DT there. Coples of course if he falls that far, then probably Mercilus with a guy like Brockers maybe in the mix as well.

I think these three are at the top of the Bears board and then we probably have guys like Branch, Reyes and Irvin ranked behind them so what ever we don't get at #19 or if our guy isn't there Emery has fall back plans. We can actually go a couple of ways and still help ourselves.

One scenario I can see if we take a pure DE like Mercilus then take a DT in two or three. The other way is to take a DT/DE hybrid like Brockers in one, an OG like Zeitler in two and that DE like Irvin or a guy like Chandler Jones in three. If I'm doing the draft and I can get the guys I want I take lineman in the first three rounds and start rebuilding both lines.

We've got some depth at OG but two or three guys are in contract years so we need to be thinking ahead especially if we move CWill outside again. Same on the Dline. Pep and Izzy are both over 30 and Izzy is only signed through this year. It's clear when they hesitated re-signing him that they want to make a change and his days as a Bears are coming to an end so now is the time to get a LDE who can play both run and pass.

Do you have a heterosexual or homosexual man crush on Zeitler just because he played at Wisconsin? LOL
