Exclamation Little Bear's 2012 Mock Draft

*Trade: The Bears trade 1[19] to the Texans for 1[26] and 2[58]*

This year I really like the idea of trading down. Let's be honest, most of Chicago's "potential first-round picks" will be long gone before they reach 19. The Texans lost two of their most important players (Williams, Ryans) and need to move up so they can address their defense.

1[26] DE Andre Branch [Clemson] 6'4'' 259 lbs.

2[50] SS Harrison Smith [Notre Dame] 6'2'' 213 lbs.

2[58] DT Brandon Thompson [Clemson] 6'2'' 314 lbs.

3[79] WR Marvin McNutt [Iowa] 6'3'' 216 lbs.

4[111] OT Brandon Mosley [Auburn] 6'6'' 314 lbs.

5[150] LB Travis Lewis [Oklahoma] 6'1'' 246 lbs.

6[184] CB Robert Blanton [Notre Dame] 6'1'' 208 lbs.

    7[220] C Grant Garner [Oklahoma State] 6'3'' 304 lbs.

    Depth Chart

    QB: Cutler, Campbell, McCown
    RB: Forte, Bush, Bell, Clutts
WR: Marshall, Bennett, McNutt, Hester, Weems, Thomas
    TE: Davis, Spaeth
    LT: CWilliams,Webb
    LG: Rachal, EWilliams
    C: Garza, Garner
    RG: Louis, Spencer
    RT: Carimi, Mosley

    LE: Branch, Idonije
    DT: Thompson, Melton
    NT: Paea, Toeaina
    RE: Peppers, Wootton
    MLB: Urlacher, Lewis, DeCiCio
    WLB: Briggs, Thomas
    SLB: Roach, Hayes, Costanzo
CB: Tillman, Jennings, Moore, Hayden, Wilhite, Blanton
    S: Smith, Conte, Wright, Steltz

    K: Gould
    P: Podlesh
    LS: Mannelly

Here are some options for the WR position in the 3rd round:

    - A.J. Jenkins [Illinois] 6' 190 lbs.
    - Brian Quick [Appalachian State] 6'4'' 220 lbs.
    - Greg Childs [Arkansas] 6'3'' 219 lbs.
    - Marvin Jones [California] 6'2'' 199 lbs.
    - Nick Toon [Wisconsin] 6'2'' 215 lbs.

Another option for the LB position in the 5th round:

    - Tank Carder [Texas Christian] 6'2'' 236 lbs.

What about OT Nate Potter [Boise State - 6'6'' 303 lbs.] instead of Brandon Mosley in the 4th round?

I like it, esp the trade i just had an idea using your trade

    1-Konz
    2-Ruben Randel
    2-Cam Johnson
    3-BPA DT
    4-BPA LB
5-BPA (maybe try to find a gem)
6-Blanton (love this pick i think he will fit right in)
    7-BPA OT

Sorry for no specifics im doing this from my phone and cant pull up other tabs to research

It wouldn't surprise me or bother me one bit to see us trade down if none of the players available are rated high enough on the Bears board to be worthy at #19. It all depends on how the 1st rd unfolds.

Good call on the trade down LB.
    Go Bears!

Thx dude. I agree, that would be a perfect draft. Something we've never seen under JA.
