Gota remember he's only 23
If this full off season as a starter doesn't yield improvement then can his ass...but maybe he'll surprise us...I hope

I just hope he doesn't turn out like the player in that old story about Casey Stengel.
A few reporters were gathered around him in spring training interviewing him about his young prospects so he pointed to two young guys fielding grounders at shortstop.
Casey pointed at one and said, "see that kid wearing #24, he's only 21 years old but in another three years he'll be an all-star". Then a reporter pointed and asked about the other and Casey says, "oh you're talking about #16, well he's only 21 years old too but in three more years he'll be 24.
I just hope in another three years Webb is more than just 26.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Possibility that he can make all-star stort stop as in your illustration. He is not talented enough to block linemen, but he is big enough to block most balls. He can just pick them up after they hit him.

Fred Mitchell 10:07 p.m. CDT, April 20, 2012 Bears fans don't need to be reminded about the importance of keeping
Jay Cutler healthy.
The team was 7-3 with him in 2011; and 1-5 without him.
As the starting left tackle last season,
J'Marcus Webb says he has Cutler's back.
Correction due to the quote being accidentally cut off:
"J'Marcus Webb says he has Cutler's back (on the ground)."

Done it before - I can do it again. Be glad to if he turns out to be good. In the mean time, back to bad LT jokes...

I really am pulling for the kid and to date I give him all kinds of slack but you have to admit sometime his "I don't even have a clue what I just said" comments are amusing. I found the one about consistency particulary funny given the results of his two games against Jared Allen. The first game he handles him and Allen doesn't even get a whiff of the QB but in the finale he chewed Webb up and spit him out in little pieces.
Seven team sacks by Minny and his guy get 3 1/2 of those? Ouch!

I don't care about the humble pie, I hope Webb has a great year so we can finally quite worrying about the Left Tackle Position; I hope he has a great year so Cutler can quit leading the league in sacked QB's; I'm hoping he has a great year so the Chicago Bears can have success, and if that means I have to eat humble pie then I gladly, eagerly and whole heartedly slice it, eat it, and put it in my sig that I was wrong about him.
Cosell just wrote an article suggesting that he sees the same things in Webb that Tice does, I would be absolutely elated if He, Tice and you are all right about him Papa and I am flat, dead, stupid, wrong.

Not a big fan of his comments either. lol He did look good in that first game against Allen. My whole thing is...did the Bears really play all that hard knowing that Hanie was back there? I mean sometimes very lousy QB play just demoralizes players. So I can't say I'm shocked at how poor the O-line played in those games with Hanie.
