Chandler Jones at #9???? What does he see that no one else seems to? I haven't found him ranked any higher than a very late first rounder and best and all the way down to the bottom of round two.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Man, I'm with ya. The "experts" are all over the place this year. Kinda shows that the talent is also a mixed bag with one guy being good at trait A and weak in Trait B, while the next guy is weak in trait A and great in trait B. I think there are a lot of "tweeners" this year also, so I guess teams are going to have to take their chances. I don't know if this all means it's a good class or bad class, but there is an awful lot of movement up and down the boards this year.
The Greatest form of revenge is MASSIVE success.

Chandler Jones is his 9th best prospect and DeCastro is his 24th??? I swear I don't know how some of these "analysts" are given their own column. Who is Mayock any way? Did he play football? Was he a GM or a front office guy at some point?
I'm sticking with the great Hub Arkush as my number one "analyst."

Never understood the Chandler Jones love...
When you watch him on tape he's huge, but very stiff and doesn't have many (if any) go-to pass rushing moves. He mostly just goes with a bull rush and relies on his strength. He doesn't seem overly athletic either. This isn't to say he won't be a productive DE in the NFL, but chances are he won't be productive right away and is more of a project than guys like Coples, Mercilus, Perry, etc.
I think he'd be a nice pick in the 2nd round, but in the first the Bears need to get a starter that will contribute from day 1. Chandler Jones just isn't that guy IMO.

When you speak of Hub that portion of the word analyst that applies is all in the first four letter.
JMHO of course.

Most likely, this is all indicative of teams drafting based on need rather than BPA. Those players may well only rank at those positions on Mayock's list of the top 100 in terms of talent. Who knows? I'm surely not an expert.

I'll go with the NFP approach where they're ranked by how well they're perceived to be ready as pros to come in and play. He's ranked the 141st best player on their board. Somebody is gonna be way wrong on this one.

DeCastro would be Top3 if he wouldn't be a Guard... DeCastro will make the ProBowl as Rookie
