I wouldn't trade down or up. Keep what you have and build off it w/youth. You NEED hits in rounds 1-3. If not day one starters, guys that are 13-16 games played guys, and serious minutes outside of ST's.

Probably reading "Little Jack Horner". Looks like he's got his thumb already to go after that plum.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

All the shits off the rounds in the first for impact players...
that we need.
If anything lets see whats going on and be sure to make a move upwards.
I really dont know how Emery plays the game..
Jackie you ain't followin' this draft or the players very closely if you think there are no impact players in later rounds than one. Unless we can nail a guy we just have to have within just a few picks in front of us moving up is costly and a waste.

Agreed. I've come to believe that this is probably one of the deepest drafts in quite a number of years. Lots of very good talent available in the first 3 RDs. Its going to be real hard for the Bears to not come away with 3 starters from their first 3 picks.

Good thing JA is gone because he'd have tried. But ST would have gotten a real boost.

I miss Mikey. I wonder how he's holding up on the eve of the draft as he looks on wondering who the Donkeys are going to pick?
Back to the relevant conversation. I wouldn't be adverse to trading down. Many mock drafts are picking a guy like Mercilus to go within the last ten picks of the first round, plus there are two wide receivers that will be available if for some reason Emery feels we need to go that route. I don't really have a feel as to what Emery will do, but his background stems from people who worked in the Patriots' organization, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's the type who will consider trading down to stockpile picks.
