Since I don't have a medical staff and a team of scouts.....here is my take on what we should do:




Round 1 BPA
Round 2 BPA
Round 3 BPA
Round 4 BPA
Round 5 BPA
Round 6 BPA
Round 7 BPA


It'll be tough, but it will yield the best team long run.

With the fact that Emery said that he has seven players in mind for each round, it makes me think that he may possibly do this. If that's the case, he's going to be a lot like Ted Thompson, which isn't a bad thing.

I will post my first round mock draft early tomorrow morning

never been a fan of the "BPA" approach. Very short sighted. What if all the BPAs are Punters? Yeah...7 more punters, thatll show the Packers who's boss.

how do you defend against 7 punters tho?

Yeah, even Teddy up in Green Bay probably doesn't go pure BPA. Realistically, it probably should be BPAOOAFSPON: Best Player Available Out Of A Few Select Positions of Need. I work for the government. I love acronyms.

My 'mock' NFL draft would go a little something like this....

Oh look at me I'm the big bad NFL draft. I'm so important I deserve to be in prime time television two days in a row and go all d@mn day Saturday. No one can tell you when the MLB holds their draft, but people circle my dates down on their calendars. Well la de freakin' da!

But seriously "BPAOOAFSPON" seems to be a logical way to go this year. I'd say all but 1 or 2 picks will go to defensive needs. Da Bears have to start thinking long term and get some good potential behind the likes of Briggs, Urlacher, Peppers and Tillman.
