Browns give Vikings their 1st, 4th, 5th and 7th round pick to move up one spot (4 to 3) to nab Trent Richardson apparently.

Benji brought up a real good point. Why would the Browns jump in front of the Vikes for a RB? Why would Minny draft Richardson when they have AP? The Bears are interested in that pick and I wonder if a few others are also interested and the Browns are auctioning the pick.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Man this is gonna be a tough night for me. I have to sandwich a music rehearsal into this tonight too. If I'm away for a while that'll be the reason and I'll have to monitor the NFL Network too.

NFLN has some good coverage on the draft, their theory is that for weeks the Browns were trying to throw out a smoke screen so it would appear that they WOULDNT draft Richardson, but they secretly really want him (since they need a solid RB), but now that we are closer to the draft, they heard more teams were trying to jump them and nab that 3 pick from the Vikes, so the Browns decided to beat everyone to the punch and give up the farm to move up to get their guy.
So yeah...its not so much that they were worried about the vikes selecting Trent, they were more worried about another team getting that 3rd pick and drafting Trent.

There were a handful of other teams rumored to be hot after Trent and this is what needed to be done to get him.

3.Browns: Richardson
4.Vikes? Trade down? Kalil?

Great move by the vikings. They still get kalil and a bunch of later round picks.
