Tice probably told Emery and Lovie to not take either Reiff or DeCastro. That dumb bastard.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

That's the "trickle down effect" mo. You know the old "for want of a nail the shoe was lost, for want of a shoe the horse was lost" kinda thing. Been nice if we could have traded Forte to Cincy and got both guys.
I'm thrilled we got McC but me, I would probably have taken DeCastro. So this pick will either go down in history and Phil Emery lore as either one of the smartest or dumbest picks he ever made. Can't say he isn't a man with a plan and balls the size of cantaloupes too boot. "Gutsy move Mav", I mean Phil.

The way I see this draft so far...Emery has loaded up the defense with very versatile players, that are fast and have big play potential and are perfect for the Tampa 2 we play. As far as the offense goes, he concentrated on adding 2 unique weapons for Cutler to utilize. Overall , I believe this is a very risky draft by Emery. I can't lie about that. But I believe if he hits on these guys, the Bears will be vastly improved and a real threat to put over 30pts a game on the board every week. I applaud him for the McClellan pick. Peppers isn't getting any younger and if Melton and Paea have the kind of biog seasons we expect...I'm telling you this DL could do some serious damage this year.

Derrick Rose tore his ACL? Holy shit, that just screwed the Bulls over.
