If Enderle "wins" a roster spot on his own merits/potential (which I doubt), then fine. But I'm not in favor of saying "we drafted the guy so he's our #3 no matter what". The team can't have too much confidence in him being worthy of a roster spot if they signed both Campbell and McCown. Jmo

The best case scenario is to allow us to have both Campbell and McCown as our backups and to cut Enderle. Enderle is not the kind of quarterback Mike Tice favors because he is not mobile; he's stationary and therefore stands like a statue. I don't think it's a matter of allowing Cutler to mold a young quarterback. It's a matter of putting forth the three best quarterbacks that are on your roster. We need three, as we saw last year after the failed Caleb Hanie experiment and then having to rely on McCown. You never know when crisis will strike.
