To be honest, I think we did very well in the draft. I think we have at least three potentially high-grade draftees on the team in McClellin, Jeffery, and Rodriguez, and maybe four if Hardin beats out Wright. The last two picks remain mysteries since they were basically BPA, but I believe we did really well for ourselves.

Now, pray for me to get to go to Nashville this year to see the Bears kick some Titans ass!

DATS WHAT I BEEN SAYIN TOO BRUH!!! What the hell is with these guys? There are examples in this VERY DRAFT of guys the same size, not to mention guys that have been in and around the league and done VERY well. I don't get it.

I would pay good money to see this kid get DROY this year with his hand in the dirt and listen to all these expert, "tweener" espousing yapping heads eat crap for three meals a day, 24/7. Go Show em Mac!

It's because McClellin came from a mid-major conference (even though Boise State has been on the national map since 2006). If he had played against the competition that Mercilus played against in the Big Ten, we probably aren't having this conversation right now.

That being said, just because he's not visibly that sexy a pick as all that, doesn't mean he's not the perfect size to be a top-tier DE in this league like Cliff Avril, Robert Mathis, and Dwight Freeney.

Labels BB, just labels. I think because so many guru's or faux guru's had him mocked to 3-4 teams like tha Packers that they now refuse to admit they saw him wrong. When's the last time you ever saw a sportswriter eat crow and write a "mea culpa" story????

Everybody saw Mercilus as a 4-3 DE first and an OLB second because they had him mocked to 4-3 teams like Seattle or us. McCellin was always mocked to a 3-4 team like the Pack and never was seen as a DE even though that's exactly what he played at BSU.

This as much as anything tells us that we should take all the pre-draft mumbo jumbo with a grain of salt. I'm not making any claims to greatness but when I saw him mocked to the Pack I did a lot of reading up on the guy and watched some video and came away saying "aw fuck" we should never let the Packers get there hands on this kid. He a one man wrecking ball on the field. I pushed him as an alternative to Mercilus weeks ago but I didn't know the Bears even knew he existed. Now we all know they did.

Getting him and the Pack not getting him is almost worth two first round picks in my book.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I thought you were a closet Packer-backer, soul. You did grow up, after all, in the frozen tundra of Green Bay.
