How does Luck not make the list? He can probably crap a better throw than Stanton and Vittatoe.

Watch how badly Luck flops his first year. He's no Cam Newton and Cam had a better offensive line and running game behind him. Luck doesn't have that luxury.

Andrew Luck is consider to be more like Peyton Manning in that he's a pure pocket passer who can bootleg and dance around in the pocket. Robert Griffin III is mobile quarterback who can beat a team with his legs as much as he can with his arm. RG III is a lot like Cam Newton in his skill set and would go number one in the draft in most years. However, since he came out in the same year as Andrew Luck, he went number two overall because as many scouts and analysts have said, Luck is a once-in-a-generation type of quarterback. There hasn't been one to come out of college touted this highly since one of my favorite Tennessee Volunteers (Peyton Manning) got drafted in 1998.

If that occurs, it's not necessarily a "flop" on Luck's part. Did you consider Cutler's first year with the Bears a "flop" because of his performance or because of the crap OL letting everyone get to him at will? Or were you part of the crowd that just knew he'd be a great gunslinger if he had a decent OL?

Also, I'm not sure that the proven shitty OL of the Redskins is that much of an advantage over the unknown OL of the Colts. They're rebuilding and brought in quite a few talented (enough) people to improve their OL. The Redskins proven mediocrity isn't that much of a boon to RG3.

And lastly... the article is about "immediate impact". Shit... even Tebow could have an immediate impact on last years Colts. That's not to say that RG3 won't have an immediate impact, but for them to leave Luck out of the article just goes to show you... "Journalists" can write about "immediate impact" without actually having any clue what the hell "immediate impact" means for a team with a wonderful record of 2-14.

What is this thread about? 12 NFL rookies capable of making an immediate impact this season.

And why did I say Luck is not going to be one of those rookies making an immediate impact? I believe I said its because he doesn't have a very good line and running game behind him. Personally, I don't care what people have said about Luck. He hasn't played an NFL down. He wouldn't be the first QB to excel in college and flop in the NFL. Happens all the time.

I think Jefferies has the potential(not my fav word to use, but all you can w/rookies) to have the greatest impact on this team from this draft, not just this year, but for the next several.

Fly below radar, my friend. Loki is a moderator. lol.

One thing that will hurt Luck, though, is losing Jeff Saturday. When Jim Irsay decided to rebuild this year, man, he did so in a way by jettisoning the bulk of the team's in order to rebuild. Luck is better than Sam Bradford was at least in talent, and like you said, Bradford was the number one overall pick in 2010 with the Rams and thus played for a shitty team his rookie year. (Hell, he's played for a shitty team every year he's been in the league.) Bradford will eventually see some light at the end of the tunnel - that is, if he ever stays healthy. The same will probably be said of Luck, who has no reputable running back since the Colts opted not to renew Joseph Addai's contract, and the team's offensive line was pathetic. The line will still be pathetic this year.
