Yeah, Izzy can play some DT on passing downs if they need him to but it still leaves us one man short for a full rotation. Someone wrote about the possibility of shifting Chauncey Davis to an inside spot but I would think they may want him heavier if they plan to do that. He's only about 270lbs.
I'm sure they're looking at some guys who are out there and we have Jordan Miller on the roster too. I think it would be better if we found help from a younger guy with a future. Still, I'd have no problem with them giving Tommie Harris a shot at a comeback in Chicago. He can't be completely washed up or unmotivated if he put in some productive time in SD last year.
It really costs us nothing to sign him to a one year deal for a vet minimum and bring him to camp and if he shows he's still got the goods that buys us some time for another year. If not we cut him and it's "no harm", "no foul". The young guys may even be able to learn some things from him in camp.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Well if we signed McCargo and Pressley there must not have been much interest in Tommie. That attitude thing was long ago. At least 4 years of more. I won't hold that against him anymore. He played well for SD last year.
