I'm settled, I'm settled. But I'm not convinced that Jeffery is not better than Bennett. First, you have to prove to me that Bennett can stay healthy enough to produce for us. Second, Bennett is not as big as Jeffery, and Jeffery is adept at running fairly good routes, has good speed, and has pretty good hands in his own right. But I do understand that the Bears are caught between a rock and a hard place because of the big contract to which they signed Bennett.

Bennett is definitely way more advanced than Jeffrey and he has great chemistry with Cutler. Bennett's injury last year was a result of a dirty hit by a Saint's player (Roman Harper). This Dags. Exactly what BBPB said. At this point in time Bennett is the more experienced receiver and can run the entire route tree from all three WR positions. So far Jeffery won't even be able to run the entire route tree from one. Maybe by the time the season starts he'll have the one WR position they intend to play him at down but not all of them. He's still a rookie and it would be best if we didn't expect him to play like Marshall or Bennett. He may get there but he won't start out there. Rookies never do.

I'm still interested in seeing what this new "Hester Ratio" is going to be. He's just not that good of a receiver; he has bad hands on deep routes, can't go across the middle, and I'm sure that there are more things that he's limited in. So what do you do with a guy like him?

I'm just hoping Jeffery gets in some good spot time and comes on as the season progresses. As it stands Bennett is still Jay's go-to guy until Marshall gets his mojo back w/Jay (which won't take long I believe). As long as these guys improve and progress as they should I don't think we should worry about where Hester is going to be-they will figure it out.

God, with the money that we're paying Marshall to be the go-to guy in this offense, I sure hope that Bennett is the go-to guy. Not because I don't think he can do it, but because I think Marshall is an elite level talent.

I'm talking go-to as in rapport. I'm sure that into camp Marshall will be back to that connection.

I would think, though, that with the past that Cutler has with Marshall, it wouldn't take much to reignite the flame that existed between Cutler and Marshall. That will make two wide receivers who he will have a good relationship with: one from his college days (Bennett), and one from his Denver days (Marshall).

I still think it would have been the cherry on top to get Royal as well had we been able to swing it. Well 2 cherries if Drake was ousted but thats crazy talk.
