This OTA is just for rookies shorty so Rachal and the other vets don't take part.

Dags the plan is to use Brown as an OG not an OT and just because he looked good against a bunch of other rookies means little more than we're getting what we should be getting from him. Far better play than you'd ordinarily expect from an UDFA lineman.
He's not practicing against the vets so you want to see him dominate these guys and stand out in the crowd not just lay back and be one of them. He's a long way off from being an NFL starter at this point in time. It's just good to hear someone reinforce what I've been saying which is, that at the worst, this guy is the equivalent of a 4th or 5th round pick. We didn't ignore the Oline on draft day we just didn't need to spend a pick on one yet we still got a guy with mid round talent.

If the only person he has to beat out to get on the line this year is Webb, Then all I can say to Brown is welcome to the line.

He isn't better than Webb and is certainly not going to beat Webb out of a roster spot. Some of you guys dawg Webb so much and don't even realize that he's starting at LT because he's the best LT on the roster at this time. If he wasn't he would've been benched last year and dumped this offseason.
I think Bears fans should look at who plays LT for every single team in the NFL and then you'll come back to reality and realize there are less than 5 LTs that are absolutely dominant at that position.

I'd say that's kind of been our problem....
Glad to hear that Tice found his ruby. And he didn't even have to bend over and reach up to find it.
Hopefully this guy is good enough to stick.

I know, I know. This is all pie-in-the-sky thinking. But a guy can dream, can't he?

I wouldn't worry about sox, BBPB. His bark is worse than his bite. I would just agree to disagree with him and move on.
