No, because then there's the idea of paying for pornography. Why pay for something to jack off to when you can get if for free and have some really good videos to watch?

I'll throw my two cents in on Lovie. He's a good, not great coach. His In-game calls just leave me scratching my head sometimes. Otherwise the rest of the time he's GOOD.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Dags you're giving an entirely new meaning to the term "hi-jacked thread" here.
You realize that don't you?
LOL

I'll take Lovie over many of the alternatives any day. After suffering through "Wanny" and "Jaumoron", Lovie is a lesser God in my book.

I think for all the bullshit he's been dealt in the past by Jerry Angelo, who always dumpster dived for talent in trades and free agency as well as made questionable draft picks to say the least and always hired his coaching staff for him, Lovie Smith might well be, pound for pound, the best head coach in the league. We can all talk about the more talked about ones like Belichick, John Harbaugh, McCarthy, and Coughlin, but they all work for front offices and ownership who aren't afraid to go out and get the players their teams need to produce a success franchise. Michael McCaskey was a cheap son of a bitch, and the hiring of Jerry Angelo was a continuation of the legacy of "Mikey." We low-balled so many great players who either played for us or who played on other teams who could have helped us win, screwed up in the draft so that we essentially wasted draft picks, and yet at the same we did all that, would go out and spend exorbitant amounts of money on players who were past their prime. Despite all of this, Lovie Smith is 71-57 with a .555 winning percentage. If one counts Lovie's record since 2005, which means he had a record of 66-46, his winning percentage is even higher at .589. Only the Giants and the Packers have won more games during that time than have the Bears. I say that despite having Jerry Angelo, who was the worst GM in pro football after maybe Matt Millen, as your GM, he's done quite well. We've been to a Super Bowl and did that with a less than awe-inspiring offensive attack led by a mental midget for a QB, but had the best defense and special teams units in pro football that year. Lovie finds ways to win, and always has. He'll do that again this year, which is why I think he destined for greatness.
I have always stood by Lovie Smith, even when the Bears struggled to finish with winning records. I always knew that he made the most out of the hand he was dealt. His dedication to preparing his team, despite all of those obstacles set before him by that moron Jerry Angelo, has led the Bears to three NFC North Division Championships, two NFC Championship Game berths, and one appearance in the Super Bowl as the NFC Champions. We had one of the least talented teams in pro football in 2010, yet we were two or three key plays away from beating the Packers in the NFC Championship despite losing Cutler. While I blame Martz for the loss because he didn't run the ball enough (it was working like a charm when he did so), this team, undermanned, still nearly achieved what NFL analysts said would be the impossible. Who do you credit for that? Certainly the players, but who gets them mentally ready to go out and play their hearts out and leave it all out on the field?
It was Lovie Smith. And that's the bottom line.

Well, we each have our opinion. In the end what matters is that the Bears will do well next year. And I think they will, regardless of who we each think is the driving force.

Different strokes for different folks. That's what I always say, houston!
