Well over there you guys have things like the Autobahn in Germany which I believe has no speed limits.
Over here we just ignore them within reason. The speed limit on our Interstate Highways is 75mph but you can pretty safely do 80-85mph without getting stopped unless some state trooper has a burr under his saddle. Guys driving at 100mph plus isn't unheard of either if they're going through long stretches of relatively deserted or ultra rural parts of the country like Montana or Wyoming.
In the cities it's different but there's always fools like this guy driving hot cars who have no idea just how much that horsepower can really ruin your whole day if you don't ease it on slowly. This idiot must have been driving that car for the first time not to have realized it. He's obviously got more money than brains.
I had a friend who worked for a Ferrari dealership here in Denver and some years ago I got a chance to drive one around a very deserted parking lot one Sunday morning. Jeezus, that was like driving a rocket sled. Going 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds pins you back against the seat hard and you need to be careful not to step harder with your right foot on the accelerator or you'll loose control just like it looks like he did.
He accelerated too fast around that turn and the four wheels broke traction so he backed off the gas but when the tires caught traction again he was angled right into the other lane and when that happens you're there just like you were shot out of a gun. When those high RPM engines spool up that power comes on real suddenly and of you're not careful you lose it fast. I was fishtailing all over that parking lot until I could get the "touch" on the pedal. After he gets his car back from the shop it looks like this guy needs to go find a parking lot to go practice in for awhile himself.
