good for Marshal; maybe this last issue will wake his ass up about where and when and how he hangs out in the public and reacts to the situations that arise.
Anyone hear Irvin on the score yesterday? He said WR's mentality is kinda like being the most independant player on the team b/c of distance, but being the most dependant for their production so they have to be vocal and it's hard to remove that part of the personality off the field....but YOU HAVE TO to keep out of trouble. He said he talks to Marshal and has recently told him that. Hopefully he listens, and keeps medicated.

Irvin makes it sound like the position shapes the person's personality, which can lead to trouble off the field. But, I guess I'd be more apt to believe the person's personality is what often makes them a great fit as a wide receiver. Wide receiver or not, that individual is probably going to have the same issues off the field. Whatever comes first, though, the chicken or the egg, you gotta cross that road without getting hit. (Everyone is all about analogies on here so I thought I'd do a post with one. lol)

I kinda paraphrased and left a lot out; he also talked about child rearing, and how the brain develops in the womb and how it can effect the personality.
But his point was that loudness and me first personality is required for the position, and the position only reinforces it; and THAT's what creates problems off the field. B/c it's hard to shut that down when you have to be that way for your job.
But it's something that has to be learned, you have to learn to shut it down when off the field someone steps up to you looking for trouble.

That's because he's a Cubs fan, soul. That tends to happen when you haven't been to the World Series in 67 years and haven't won a World Championship in 104 years.

Marshal was interviewed and said he and his wife discussed it and said they don't believe they will be going out to bars in the future b/c it's to easy for issues to arise.
I believe I said that shit when it all broke down(pats himself on the back) You make that kind of cake you gotta grow the F up and not be out at 2-3 in the morning.

Goodell makes bad decisions all the time. I would not be surprised if he suspends Marshall.

haha, you crack me up.
But seriously Soul. Do you honestly trust that Goodell will make the right decision? How often does he do that?

Let me see if I get this right. His wife gets hit with a bottle and he trys to get her out of the place to safety and this is not how a man react in public when a situation like this arises?
This was not some strip club, nor was he out clubbing, it was an after event party and as the key note speaker he is expected to there.
So I guess now that he is a Bear he can't take his wife out to dinner or go to a nice club or even shopping, because a fight might break out. I guess he better not go over to visit Cutler either because his woman might go into labor and we all know it will be Mashalls fault.
