O'rly Lomas Brown? Why don't you prove your claim because otherwise you are talking out of your backside?

Makes you wonder what players did before random drug testing.
Because... you know they did. Hell, NFL lore is rife with tales of playing high.
So is baseball. Ruth, Mantle, huge boozers. Drugs were hush-hush.

Yep, "North Dallas Forty" wasn't exactly as much fiction as it may have been made out to be. LOL

He played the game brother. He wasn't exactly an outside observer. You gotta think he had a pretty good idea of what was going on around him. Every once in a while in the early 80's I hung around at parties with some Packer players and I know that wasn't a bubble pipe being passed around. Just sayin'.

So Soul you're saying the NFL has a "Star Chamber" to determine who they will out for a positive on drug tests while the rest of the league just gets a pass?

Well I don't know where I indicated that in that post. The Packers didn't have many "NFL Stars" in those days.
But lets' just say I wouldn't bet my last dollar that they don't OK?

Well if Lomas Brown is accurate about the alleged number of guys smoking marijuana, then why did only 11 guys come up with a positive test last year? So I think it goes without saying that you are suggesting that the NFl has a "Star Chamber." And I'm not sure i believe that...

I would assume there is the same percentage of illegal drug use in the NFL as there is outside the NFL. Certain drugs such as speed and cocaine only stay in your system for three days but other drugs like marijuana leave traces in your system for about a month so. Of course marijuana is going to come up during drug tests more often than others. I really don't care how many people smoke it in the league because it's not giving anyone and edge and it isn't killing people. It's a non-issue to me.
