1. How stupid is Miami going to look if Marshall has another Pro Bowl year and leads us to a Super Bowl?
2. How stupid is Denver going to look if we do this with BOTH of their "rejects" Cutler & Marshall?

Marshall paused but only for a moment.
“Then you look at Jeremy Bates and the way he’s installing some things with coach [Mike] Tice and his knowledge of the game now. We’re all just primed and ready.”
Bates, Cutler and Marshall developed their NFL reputations together with the Broncos. Cutler and Marshall earned Pro Bowl honors while Bates parlayed his success with the Broncos’ offense into an assistant head-coaching job at USC under Pete Carroll.
Since then, though, they have had to overcome challenges, which is why all three are so excited about the 2012 season.
Despite just missing the playoffs last season, the Bears made several significant changes. They replaced general manager Jerry Angelo with Phil Emery and added players such as Marshall and veterans Jason Campbell and Michael Bush. The key questions are whether the offensive line, which is largely unchanged, performs better and when Pro Bowl running back Matt Forte will join the team.
On Tuesday, the Bears were able to actually practice, albeit in limited fashion.
“It felt good,” Marshall said. “I think we all were excited. Jay had to come in the huddle once and tell everyone, ‘Relax.’

They're gonna look real stupid if those statements turns out to be right.
Jugde by articles and statements from both Cutler and Marshall, their chemistry seems to still be the same as in Denver.
As Briggs say Cutty get rid of the ball fast, and that could mean that it would be must like Packers. Not a very good Oline, Rogders is just good at getting rid of the ball fast.

I do think that Cutler and the new scheme are going to make the line look good. Webb will still get beat by the better DE's unless he picks up his game, but with some help for him it may not make a big impact (hope not anyway).
It would still be better if either Webb was able to better handle the DEs on his own (all LTs struggle with the best, but Webb has not done as well as most) or we get someone who can. Having people stay back to make up for the play of their team mates narrows the options available because of having to help others.

Well it will make the line look better, don't know if it's possible to make it look good. There are enough weapons to keep teams honest though.

They were pretty stupid to begin with by trading him.
I realize he has some serious issues, but there are only a handful of receivers in the league as talented as Brandon Marshall. To trade him away for a pair of 3rd's that may or may not work out was a bad deal from their end. It's highway robbery for the Bears and a risk very much worth taking. Our Super Bowl window may only be open for 2-3 more years and he's the type of talent that could legitimately put us over the top.

10 years from now...when they look back and see the 4 SBs that Cutler led the Bears too...a lot of people will call the Cutler trade one of the greatest blunders in DEN history. Especially when Peyton Manning fails to reproduce that INDY magic.

Well Denver can blame McDipshit for losing those two. Working for the Pats he saw that Belichek "commanded" respect from his players and he got it because he was a winner. McDumb came in and "demanded" it having proven absolutely nothing except that he could coax decent enough performance out of Matt Cassel to be a SB contender. Apparently Bowlen must have forgotten about the caliber of the people he had surrounding him.
It was just like when McCaskey fired Ditka and brought in Wanny because he was the "hot property" that year. All because his defense in Dallas won then a SB. Not only did he prove to be a poor HC but his personnel decision were horrible. I think that's what happens when you bring in an inexperienced HC. Lovie struggled through some of the same early on but he seems to have gotten better.
Of course Wanny was saddled as Mikey as his de facto GM and up until now Lovie had Angelo so at least half the blame should be centered there.
It's pretty apparent Miami "overreacted" to that situation in NY and just chalked it up to being another of Marshall's many off field disturbances without sitting back and playing "wait and see". Trading him for what amount to be a current third and the equivalent of a current fourth and maybe as low as a fifth if we make it to the NFCC Game of the SB was a desperation trade Especially when they had him under such a "sweetheart" contract. Phil Emery did his "homework" and they didn't. Too bad, so sad.
