I agree. He was still raw as a young player in 2009 and threw too many picks trying to force situations. He's matured a lot as a QB and has been making wiser decisions the last 2 years. He still occasionally relies too much on his (elite) arm in making back foot throws but even that bad habit has been greatly reduced.
Call me an apologist for him if you want, but he's never had a proper supporting cast in the passing game as a Bear. Whether it be WRs, the OL, or the coaching/playcalling, he's always had to try to overcome obstacles in his way rather than true "helpers" that would make his job easier. Manning (X 2), Brady, Rodgers, Bree's, etc have all had way more to work with and way more to aid them, than Jay has ever had. I have no doubt he would be considered "elite" in the nfl by now if these stumbling blocks hadn't been present.
My God, the Bears have had a WR corps, an OL, and an OC, that have all been laughingstocks of the league over the last few years...it's really amazing that we have only had 1 losing season in the last 3 and came within a TD of the SB once.
Cutler knows this and his frustration boiled over with Martz last year. He got vocal about the WR situation and has called out the OL to step up too. It seems management is finally waking up to the fact that they were squandering a potentially star QB by surrounding him with mostly shit on and off the field.
We FINALLY have a true #1 WR and an upgraded corps as a whole. We FINALLY have a sane OC and qb coach/playcaller that suits his strengths. And I hope in CWill we will finally have a decent LT and adequate overall pass pro too. I see a pro bowl caliber 4000+ yd season coming if the pieces fall into place like they should.

Not only that, MPBears, but we have skilled players now in all three phases of the game: on offense, defense, and special teams. When was the last time you could honestly say that about a Chicago Bears team? Has it ever happened before? It hasn't since I've been watching, which, granted, has only been for a few years.
I really believe that this team has the goods to go out and win the division this year. They're going to be in one of the two toughest divisions in the league (the other being the AFC North), so nothing will come easily for the Bears. I think that since we will have the best defense in the division, along with the balanced offense and an improved line with or without Webb at LT (because let's face it, he can't get much worse, he can only get better, right?), and the best special teams unit as usual in the league, we should be right in the thick of things with the Packers and the Lions.

Cutler 1st Forte 2nd - QB's are much harder to find.
I guess Forte is gonna hafta settle for his guaranteed 15mil ( waaa ) - of which, he could live very comfortably off just the interest he's gonna make on it ..... for the rest of his life ( as long as he's not an idiot with his money like alot of these guys are ).
Shoulda been a quarterback ......
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
