Injuries to key players always affects the division. Staying relatively healthy will sure help. Injuries to other teams alter the picture too. There have been a number of seasons where I truly felt we had the best team in our division, but a key injury or two killed us. In 2009 when Uralcher went down for the season in the 1st game I felt like vomiting. The season ended there. We did win 7 games, but it was a pitiful year.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

1) No, you won't.
2) You speak as if Chicago is the ONLY team to make changes this off-season. The Packers have also improved their defense.
Sure, the Bears will shock some people this season, mainly those that aren't paying attention. However, I think you're gonna find that the hierarchy in the NFCN is pretty much gonna be like it was last year.

It sure looks like the NFC-N is going to be one of the best divisions in the NFL. It's going to be a war for whatever team does win the division. I don't know about the Bears sweeping the Packers, but I do think there's a decent chance they win the division. Injuries may play a big part in what happens too. Just think about GB with Rodgers out for the season like Cutler was last season. Injuries to KEY personnel can change the season in the blink of an eye. Same for the Bears or Lions.
Nobody has a lock on the NFC-N this year. Nobody.

The Packers and Bears should both contend for sure barring injuries to Rodgers or Cutler. The Lions I might be more worried about if they had a real coach. As far as I'm concerned they're still one over-enthusiastic pat on the back from an other self-implosion until they prove otherwise. They have to be one of the worst coached teams in recent memory.
The Vikings could surprise us all by being decent to good, but more than likely they're looking at an 8-8ish season.

I've wondered about this too. The Vikes have been pitiful, but they drafted some really decent talent, and have some young players who should be much improved under Frazier. I'm not saying they'll be a threat to win the division, but they could be a much tougher opponent this year. Not a guaranteed sweep for us or the other NFC-N teams.

Let me add my 2 cents. Last year before Cutler went down we were on an 5-0 winning streak. Cutler was behind an O line that was to say the least not all that great and with below average WR core and an OC that just couldn't move on from the past. This year hopefully the O line is at least be better with 2 of our better O line players returning, we have added 2 much better WRs, with our best WR from last year returning. As far as the OC goes do I really need to say anything. As far as our Defense goes yes some of them are getting up in age but I still see a couple of goods out of all of our older Defensive players. I the past our Defense has carried the team this year the Offense should be able to to hold there own against any team and the Defense will be there to help.
Last year I was sure we couldn't beat either the Packers or Loins as a matter of fact I was sure we could beat the Vikings in the last game. This year I feel we can beat any of these on any given Sunday. I won't go as far as say we can win the SB but I can't see why we can't.

2. With that said, the Lions are over-hyped every year, hell, they were even getting hype before the 2008 season...
The Lions may be one shot wonders. They have their own contract issues and the deal they gave Megatron serves to show how just one deal far out of balance can screw the whole payroll up. Now Avril wants a long term deal paying more than $10 mil per year. Stafford is a $12 mil per year guy as is Suh and if he doesn't change his ways he'll be the next Albert Haynesworth. Jahvid Best is a very good RB but he can't stay healthy and LeShoure has some drug issues.
We best them last year once we turned to offense around and this year it begins turned around so the Pack is who we need to have in our sights. I'm not discarding the others but I think that other than Packers we have the best talent in the NFC and we're catching up.

LOL, like I told Evernight; Game On
I'll take my chances that the Bears have caught up talent wise much faster than anyone thought they would. The matchups are always close but this year we'll have an offense that can score points far better than any I've seen in Chicago for quite a while.
It's gonna be a far different style of Bears team than anyone in the NFC has faced before. The amount of top line talent added to the offense is significant and even those offensive players who have been around should benefit a whole lot more than they did under the Martz regime.
I don't make predictions on games or on a season won/loss record but I'm content that when playoff time comes around we'll be there.

1. Yes we will.
2. These aren't just "changes." The Bears have made "changes" that have elevated this team to the point that it can finally match up with GB where it matters. Offensive production has been Chicago's achille's heal in its head to head matchups with GB.
3. When are the Packers going to stop selling those bogus stocks that don't provide any dividends?

1. Keep dreaming.
2. Keep on ignoring the obvious... go right ahead. I'll stand by my assertion that the Bears upgraded offense is offset by the Packers upgraded defense.
3. Anything to bitch about, eh?
