what I dont like reading is Philips told him after this season. So who the hell is the gm Philips or Emery? This should be evaluation between Emery and Lovie then Cliff Stein for the cap stuff.

Urlacher is the face of the team and along with Cutler the most important player on the team. But he's also 34 years old and coming off an injury. So he plays out his deal or somewhere along the line they extend him. Some of it may be about wanting to see what he has left in his tank. Some may be about not having the cap space to do it this year. Or maybe they let him go FA and see what kind of offers he gets with an agreement that they'll match anything within reason.
Brian has said that he wants to play out his days here. We have no one lined up to replace him so I think that's a pretty good indicator that this is all just smoke with no fire.
This. Also, I'm fine with Emery being our "talent guy" and not our "money guy"........J.A. was more money guy, but struggled acquiring good talent. I'm excited to watch Emery upgrade our talent over the next couple of years. Should be great to watch.Quote:
