Well, you know that the Bears are trying to coach up the guys they currently have...(this one is on DeCicco off of the teams' website) http://www.chicagobears.com/news/New...?story_id=8837 . But, it stands to reason that Emery will be looking for top flight LBs in the near future. He's probably already looking....

DeCicco looks like a good prospect. Good size and moves pretty good.

Well ya he's coming to an end, he's not going to play forever. Hell I'm stunned he's played as well as long as he has w/some of the issues/injuries he's had w/his neck and wrist. Although I think that year off b/c of the wrist probably allowed his body some much needed R&R and probably allowed a lot of other injuries to heal prolonging his career and his level of play.

I'm really suprised we have put more drafts into that position to be honest. He should still have another 2-3 years left, but not reason to wait until the last second.

Hard to forecast who the LB will be. A few careers appear to be closing together Urlacher, Pep, Peanut. If we find a real good replacement for Urlacher there has to be a strategy to go up the board to get him (I'm assuming winning seasons in the near future). Do you go FA for a DE, and a CB as it's hard to chase them all in the drafts.

I believe much of Emery's grade to me hinges on what kind of exit strategy he has for players nearing the end of their careers at the same time.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

If throwing water on him will work as well as it did on the Wicked Witch then I'll show up with a fire hose. God I hate that little fucker. What little athletic experience he did have he lied through his teeth about until Jalen Rose called out about it on the air!

I can see two more years following this one and that should about do it. He keeps himself in great shape but eventually he's gonna lose that extra step he has that gets him from sideline to sideline and back into pass protection and that will be it. Guys like him want to go out on top so I don't think he'll prolong it once he feels he just doesn't have it anymore. It's not worth it.

He reminds me of the Phil Collins puppet in the "Land of Confusion" video by Genesis.

Ray Lewis is what's right about the NFL? LOLWUT

I mean, aside from stabbing two people to death, then getting away with it after he imtimidated witnesses who were to testify against him, he was a pretty good player. Yeah, you just gotta ignore the whole double murder thing.

Isn't if funny how if your a big time star and you have an entourage with you to provide an alibi you escape those issues. Rae Carruth needed a few more years under his belt before he decided to off his girl friend and now he spends his time with Bubba and the boys.
