Very good points JJM, but I just have this gut feeling that Harbaugh can't reproduce the magic in his 2nd season. They got more than I ever though they could out of Alex Smith but sometimes, teams just get ona run, even though they aren't great teams. Ibelieve the 49ers are one of those teams. Their offense doesn't impress me much and their defense has a real problem matching up with pass happy teams.
All good points BBPB,
I think Harbough is going where DITKA went ...
just to prove who he is ... he sure in hell has the team on board.
The 49er's are the most dangerous team in the NFC.

I'll give the 49ers this...they have a real nasty defense. But can Alex Smith rise to the occasion again this year??? Harbaugh sure didn't have much confidence in him going after Manning. And now he's denying it too. lol And don't get me wrong, I think Harbaugh is a great coach. I mean I still can't believe what he did with that team last year. I'm just not buying that Smith has finally arrived, as some might say. And they wona lot of close games last year. Hard to do that every year. I guess we'll know soon enough. teams better worry about the Bears. They're no longer playing with this thing. We are a bonafide SB contender.
These are some of who we are going to face in the playoffs.
1. San Francisco
2. Green Bay
3. NYG
4. Atlanta
5. Carolina
6. Detroit ... Yeah I know ... even I didnt think I'd ever be saying this.
Look at what they were and look at what they are now,the teams mentioned above.
Up and comers ...
Washington
Tampa Bay
We have our work cut out for us... It aint going to be easy.
BTW ... if New Orleans makes it to the playoffs ...
well ... we are gonna have ALOT more work to do.
Nope ... I dont think the Cowboys are going to be there.
I dont think Philly is either.
However when it comes to predicting the future, I reserve the right to be wrong.
BEAR DOWN !!
Good calls!! One of the few that has Carolina as a wildcard which I completely agree with. Vick will be Philly's downfall either through injury or suspect play (turnovers). I'm always iffy on the Giants, even though they prove me wrong (barely) every year..
I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid and say that the Bears are the most dangerous team in the NFC.
If we can keep our key players healthy & we have solid LT play out of Webb or C. Williams, then I think we'll be as good as anyone in the NFL this season. But, if we have key players injured (guys like Urlacher, Peppers, Brandon Marshall etc) and/or the LT continues to be a turnstile, then the season will not be kind to us (#3 in our division again).

That makes me question what God's role is in this.

Pray for a a miracle at left tackle & for angels to protect our players from injury.
This really HAS been an incredible off-season already. I never would have believed we could land both Brandon Marshall AND another 6'3" receiver like Jeffrey Alshon. And we land a GM like Emery. Who knew?
