I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

This is when I wished I lived closer and could travel to Bourbonais to see some of training camp. One year when I was back in Wisconsin on vacation I got a chance to spend a day out in Platteville watching them but nothing since.

Don't even get the preseason game against the Donkey's out here but at least I'll be able to watch it on the tube.

I love training camp. It's one of the last "pure" experiences left in the NFL. It's still free. You can get close to the players. Kids can get autographs. I love to sit on that grassy hill overlooking all of the practice fields - with a cooler of food and drinks - watching the players & just chilling in the summer breeze. Sometimes I'll walk down to get close pics of the players. It's a slice of heaven.

I used to take my kids and their friends when they were little but now they are grown up -- and we still go - with a caravan of cars now though :-)

I'm taking vacation time this year to watch as much as I can. Life is good

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.
