I wish we could get some game reps (when possible) for Campbell. Even if it's only a bit of work. It could be late in games where we're far enough ahead that the game is decided. This would keep Cutler from getting injured in those games in a meaningless 4th quarter too.

Then if Cutler would get injured, Campbell would be a bit more equipped to step in. Even a veteran would benefit from this. But I'm sure Cutler wouldn't like to cut his opportunities to pad stats in those situations.

with the additions this season we are much better then last season on paper. The only iffy situation I see is what will Tice factor be....thumbs up or down and we wont know until end of the season if he is over his head as a oc. But 12 wins why not we have closed the gap I think on offense

I think we'll see Campbell get the majority of the snaps in preseason. McCown may get a few but my guess is that Blanchard and Enderle are gonna compete for that 4th spot as the developmental guy who'll probably make the roster in 2013. I don't think Cutler will play more than a few series until maybe the 3rd preseason game when they usually leave the first string in for an entire half or more.

I believe in Tice because I believe he's got enough on the ball to realize what his players can and can't do. He was moderately successful in Minny when he was teamed with Scott Linehan and I think that if he lets Bates have a fair amount of input into game plans and play selection he'll be fine. Having a good offensive assistant makes for a nice checks and balances system. That's something the autocratic Martz would never accept.
