Am I the only one concerned about Urlacher?

I honestly thought we were good with him, but after reading this article with the strap and the ice, etc I am starting to think that the injury was either more serious or is taking longer to heal (his age - by the way, what is the cumulative age of LBs before we know we have to trash them?). Either way, the tread on the tires may be thinning out faster than we had hoped.
Hopefully its just precaution. But I don't trust Lovie as far as I can throw him (although I'd like to find out how far that might be).

No, your not the only one bruh. I've been a bit concerned at times over the last month or so, hearing little things about he's still rehabing, but looking good. I keep telling myself the same thing you reference above; that he's not a young kid anymore that can bounce back right away, but I'm hopeful he will be ready by TC and not have to set out much during the season. It's kind of depressing to think that a late season injury last year could still affect our season this year, but too many people act like these guys are machines, and they are not. So yea, I share your concern, that even if he does heel, that he will not have what he had last year.

If it's still a major issue a month from now I'll be a little concerned but not yet. PFT is pretty notorious for getting things wrong and what Lovie says it's actually dead on. What do they gain by having him out there now? It's not like he needs to learn his assignments.
Right now I think the main function of the defense in these OTA's is to give the offense some resistance in pass coverage since that's really all they can work on except maybe some timing stuff with runs. There's no competition for his spot of Briggs so maybe the best thing is to let the backups like DeCicco and Thomas or Jabara Williams get some reps for now.
As far as we know there wasn't any surgery done so nothing was torn. I just think it's too early to worry too much about it. There are still about three months to go before the season starts.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I agree with all of that, but I'm still worried

if it was a major issue we would have covered it in FA with someone like hawethorne which the saints ended up doing when vilma got suspended the year.

I have my concerns only b/c of his age + rehab. I'm fine w/him missing camp if necessary to be ready for the season. He knows what to do, and the team could afford to see just how badly they need to get the next guy in here and the sooner the better.

Got a buddy who runs his own physical therapy business and he says it could go either way : it either healed well enough where he'll be the same player - or it didn't and he'll either be a step slow or he might wind up on the pup list. All we as fans can do is wait and see what does happen.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I cannot imagine him on the Pup. I could see the Slow thing. I remember a few years ago he had either a bad back or hammie and played through it, but he just wasn't the same.

So he says it's either healed or not healed? Obviously he knows what he is doing. He's definitely right.

I'm not worried. They assessed many months ago that no surgical procedure was necessary. I'm sure they're going to crank up the anti-inflammatory meds and "other things" that are needed to speed things up.
