Those were my thoughs too Grizz. McCowns days as a anything more then an emergency starter are over. Why not get a younger guy with starting experience and some upside. I wouldn't trade more than a 6th or 7th, if at all, but if he is truly a target for the GM, it will need to be done via a trade.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. If I'm Phil Emery it's worth a phone call to Mike Holmgren to find out what their asking price is then depending on that he can decide whether it should be considered or not.
