What? They both play the same position and they both played a similar role in college. Those are pretty legitimate comparisons of similarity. Now, that's beside the point, I also think B/R sucks, but I must have missed where they were suggesting the comparison to Urlacher. I think they are just hypothesizing that he could be the MLB replacement when Urlacher leaves if he continues to progress, not that he will be as good as Urlacher.

I think it would be great if we found a diamond in the rough in FA. I recall his Special Teams accomplishments and his few opportunities at LB last year and he did well, especially for an undrafted Rookie with NO off-season. If he has, in fact, bulked up (maybe added 15 to 20 Lbs) up to 240-250 to go along with his 6'-4" frame and he has kept his speed (a bit of evidence from some video of the mini-camps that I just watched this morning suggests he may have), then we could have actually found something.

You're throwing the baby out with the bathwater mo. Not everything in the B/R is even written by their staff. Ya' gotta pick through it for things worth discussing. Everything isn't trash despite what you and Benji want to believe. Read it first and evaluate the article before you just dismiss because of who published it.

You don't think DeCicco has a chance yet 73% of the Bears fans polled think he's has a chance of starting for the Bears at some point in time. So I'll include you in the not so silent minority on this.

He's got some skills, he's got good to great speed, aggressiveness and tacking ability, good diagnoses of the offense and coverage skills inside the numbers where our MLB needs that. He's also got the good to play one of the OLB spots as well. So between him and Hayes we do have at least a couple of young guys coming along behind our stars.

That scouting report I highlighted comes from Draft Scout not the B/R. It's a pretty well respected service and I got that direct from their site to see if his scouting report backed up the B/R article in anyway. I do look into things beyond just the tip my own nose before I make a decision to post something you know. So don't just toss it away like it shouldn't even be considered.

You're prejudiced against B/R fine. But why prejudge a guy whose done a nice job on ST so far and has taken on Urlacher's game in mini-camp and done pretty well for himself. I don't expect him to be another Urlacher but the chances of going out and finding another "freak of nature" MLB just like him to immediately replace him kinda stretches the imagination a bit don't ya' think?

How may years did we have in between Bukus and Singletary and how many years after Mike retired until we drafted Urlacher? If we get another Hilly out of DeCicco I'll be a happy camper.

Even when I posted and alternate article from a second source, an unbiased scouting report on him from his college days that was reasonably complimentary, and a poll that says that at least a few fans think he has potential, you say it's just trash?

Fuck it. You all can just go research your own fucking articles and I'll keep my posting limited to critiques of them. I'm tired of spending time doing research on things and debating with those who are too fucking lazy to do the same. We all have keyboards and access to the same shit. But I suppose it's easier to just poke holes in my stuff.

When I post facts I back them up and even when I post an opinion if it's possible that it's suspect at least I make an attempt to see if another article shares the same opinion. Fuck this. Y'all do your own lifting rocks and scrounging for stuff to post. Did it ever occur to you that I don't always agree with the position of these articles but I post them anyway because they give us something to debate.

You can disagree with the conclusion but don't call my fucking attempts to post interesting articles trash just because you don't like where they come from. You didn't even bother to take the time to post why you agree or disagree with the posts you lazy little prick. At least others had enough consideration to do that.

You can go ahead and ban me for this if you like but when all you have to say about my attempt to post something that I knew might be controversial is that it's worthless, don't take it seriously, and that it's trash you're insulting me for even bothering to post that point of view. Fine then take the time to at least offer a counter opinion. What you actually took the time to post is trash and a waste of valuable space.
