After that hit I'm just glad he can move around period on this own. Doubt we'll see him this year. But if the guy wants to push back and make a comeback, I'm happy for him....

Ric,
Do you think Knox will ever be back?

personally no. Dude's back was f'd in the a. I hope he is though. These athletes are prime physical human specimens, if anyone could it's them. Their bodies, and the treatments they get b/c of the money they and their employers have give them the best chance to fully recover were most schmoe's would be lucky just to walk.

Wasan't it stated that the average JOE would never walk again with that hit? But being in the shape he was allowed him to have a CHANCE at recovery?

If I were Knox, I would retire. The guy almost died.

Yttocs, I don't know if it was stated, but it wouldn't suprise me at all. It's just a matter of fact that the better condition you are the better you are able to recover from a major accident. And these guys are in elite physical condition and on top of that they have elite medical care and trainers.

I was at that game with my son. It looked pretty scary. It's amazing that he didn't have a spinal chord injury & end up being a quadriplegic.
I wonder how any player could come back from that without being a bit scared about taking big hits again. Will it affect his receiving skills so that he drops more passes? I don't know. But it would be understandable if he did have problems with this moving forward.
Go Bears!
