Ya it's imporant, for some positions, but when none of the RB stuff is being implamented it's not important for the RB's to be there. Forte missed nothing by not going.

I said the guys that missed the OTAs missed it due to injuries. But everyone else was on hand except Forte. It is big deal otherwise you'd have every veteran stay home. It doesn't matter if Tice wasn't working on any RB stuff. You ever play organized football? It isn't cool to have someone missing out on any kind of collective team training, unless they are injured.

You're right in that it's not an ideal situation. But it's part of the business side of football, that is different from high school or college football. But we'll be fine. Forte will play one way or another. We have a GREAT roster at RB with Forte in there. It's going to be great this season to watch.

Thanks For The Memories

Not one player had an issue w/Forte missing. OTA's are not mandatory for a reason, and players were given days off. last I checked didn't Forte have an inj last year? Who's to say he would have played anyways? All players are cool w/Forte taking care of his business. If this was so damn imporant the Bears could have got him signed earlier this year to make sure he was there. But they didn't. Again when the Players start bitching, the fans will have a right to start bitching. Until then you have a right to be anxious but nothing really outside that. And on top of that it's looking like he'll be there for the important stuff anyways, TC and Preseason.
My question is: Has Forte been given the new playbook and has he studied it?

I really don't think it matters that much. It's not like they are installing a new offense where he has to learn a new system. The run game will remain the same and it's the new receivers who will have a period of adjustment. IMHO Forte will be asked to do less this season with a reliable backup in place and a legit passing game. He won't have to carry the team as was the case in the past few seasons.

I dont know about this whole he'll be asked to do less thing that a lot of peole think. He's not a high touch back as it is He gets 288-350 touches a year, and only 1x did he have 350 touches; Your high touch backs get 350-400+ touches. What I do think you'lll see is the pass game become more effiecent and the WR/TE #'s start to catch up to Forte's.
