By "just touch," we mean a DB, half his size, hitting him high and driving him back 3 yards...the guy was soft...

Not saying he was a bum or anything...the guy was just soft for his position imho...in the open field he was fine; but once contact was made, he would very rarely get you that extra yard that, I don't know about you, I expect from a TE...maybe that's old school thinking, but there you go...

Speaking of backfield blocking (that Olsen wasn't good at). I think that is a good reason to try to keep Clutts. I remember reading back in some of the articles on how the blocking in space was a good bit different than in-line blocking. A guy like Spaeth is great in-line but adjusting on the run paving a way for Forte or Bush not so much.

With the lack of goal-line punch at times from the OL I think at least one specialist would help out the line esp. vs the Suh's of the league. Using a TE pass specialist I can't see good blocking from that either.

Back to Olsen we got ok value for him. His speed declined a bit (but was still fast) and I think he was shipped out at the right time.

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
