Hopefully quickly.
If I was a head coach, I would go into that locker room with an AR-15 and threaten to kill each member of that offense if they aren't in sync by week 3. I like speeding up the process. But that's just me fellas.

I keep thinking it's a great time to play them at their place. It's definitely a winnable game, and we could make one heck of a statement with a win there at Lambeau right outta the chute - kindof like saying "move aside we're the new king of the Division"...
The only downside is that the game will be a physical war with casualties. I guarantee you both teams will have injured players in week 2. It will be playoff intensity. Both teams may lack the polish of a playoff team at this early juncture, but the hitting will be epic. Both teams will be fighting to be the "alpha dog" of the NFC-N in that game. Huge game.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.
Yup, it should be one of those games that can establish the tone for the season. Win and you can build off that confidence. Lose and GB delivers a message of urgancy early on. Should be a good measuring stick either way and works for both teams. Oh, and thanks for clarifying JABF: I live out in the middle of no where, and I don't consider any NFL team a home team... I knew week 2 was at Lambeau, but communicated poorly. (Should have been: face GB @ their home.) *cheers*

I'm still waiting for the OL to GEL. It's been a few years now and they keep changing things around. It might just be a few more years till they GEL. ( somewhat of a joke, yet there is truth in it)

I'm guessing they come out of camp with the timing of the passing game pretty much intact. And they should. After all Cutler has been throwing to most of them, Marshall included, for at least three years now. Seems like he and Bennett are joined at the hip and it won't take him and Marshall long to rediscover their grove either so there's #1 and #2a down to begin with.
If they make the Cutler to Hester connection easy enough, and I think they will that's where we'll see some big plays early on. After all this time will teams take that seriously enough to respect it? They can't worry about Marshall and Bennett play close attention to Hester AND cover Forte out of the backfield. Somebody is gonna get that ball with some air around them and I'm hoping it's Hester and Forte. Marshall and Bennett can get open and catch no matter who they put on them.
I think to start with, and maybe to end with too, Davis and Jeffery will be used primarily as red zone guys or they run Davis on seam routes and Jeffery on jump balls and back shoulder catches that he makes with his eyes shut. That kind of ability is what Cutler has been looking for. I don't care whether Michael Floyd is a better receiver or not Jeffery can make back shoulder grabs and Cutler loves to throw them. He should be walking around with a perpetual hard on over that.
I think the line will need four or five games for all of them to get on the same page. It often takes a couple of years for that to happen and if the hadn't lost Carimi last years and if CWill wasn't playing "IBM" again (I've been moved) we might be a bit closer but as it stands they'll need some game time to get it all down and they won't see enough in the preseason because of the competition at LT and OG.
This is the way I think it will work out. Despite the time needed to polish up the offense I still we can go 3-1 over the first four games and get off to a good start. By mid year they should look like an offense that week to week will be very tough to stop. We need 24 points a game minimum out of them and some scoring help from ST's and the defense. I think out defense can hold teams under 20 points a game if we can control the clock and get leads so we can run the ball.
If we can execute that way we should win at least 11 games in 2012. Bet the over. It's a lock.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
Honey Badger Don't Care. Honey Badger Don't Give a Shit.

I agree with your entire post, but especially with the above. The oline will get better (hopefully) over the first 4 games of the season. Sometimes it takes the run blocking a bit longer to get fully in sync than the pass blocking. And Forte has been great at making his yards even without holes. A lot of his plays are him making something out of nothing.
