Brian Urlacher: '110 percent' for Chicago Bears camp'

    Good to hear:

Brian Urlacher wants you to know he'll be in top form when the Chicago Bears open training camp next week.

"I'm full go for everything, so I won't be missing anything," the linebacker recently said, via ESPN Chicago. "110 percent, I'm good to go. The vet days that we get every once in a while, we'll take those when we can, but other than that, I'm good to go."

Urlacher couldn't even golf as recently as March 20, so his declaration of full health obviously is good news for a Bears team asking for another representative season from its longtime star.

Urlacher, 34, sat out OTAs and minicamp while recovering from the MCL and PCL sprains suffered in the 2011 season finale. He said last month he'd like to play two to three more seasons.

Urlacher also commented on running back Matt Forte receiving his contract extension.
"I'm glad he got what he got," Urlacher said. "He deserved it. If anyone deserves it, it was Matt. He works his tail off and he produces on the field every Sunday."

A free agent at the end of the season, this could be Urlacher's last shot at a ring with the Bears. A happy and well-paid Forte can't hurt in that quest.

Brian's a warrior and he'll be out there until he realizes he just doesn't quite have it anymore just like Singletary. I think he's good for three more years. Maybe they give him a two year extension between now an next March and let him go out as a Bear HOF'er. Be nice if he could get a ring and a pic of him holding the Lombardi Trophy to go along with that one holding the Halas Trophy back in 2006.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
