OMC, I never said his production would take any hit, never even hinted at it. I just don't believe he's going from 500-600 yards a year to 1K based on everything around him. I've contended from the onset that his prodution will remian the same while Jefferies and Marshal Davis are going to get the extra looks.

    Ric things are different now...

Things operated very differently under the old guard and they will use Bennett more. What we say Bennett do during those 3 games after returning from injury was just a preview of what's to come. Bennett has developed into a good WR. All he needs now is to have more balls thrown to him. The guy is a good player. Not flashy, not explosive, but will still make plays in the passing game. I'll let him and Cutler do the talking on the field.

BBPB, I never said he wasn't. ANd again his first year was his best, and I fully expect simliar results to his first and not his 2nd and 3rd. There is nothing insulting of a 3rd option WR getting 700 yards. But again more then yards I want to see his TD production go up more then rec/yards. And don't forget, the old OC wanted to throw a ton, this one will want to run more don't forget that aspect.

This offense has evolved. We have a QB who is as comfortable as ever in CHI. And I expect Cutler to throw for over 4000yds this season. There's plenty to go around for everybody. I'm not going to be surprised when they count a little more on Bennett. The guy just gets the job done when called upon. Bennett is the real #2. Not Hester. Not Jeffreys.

yes, I also agree with this. Bennett is going to be a big beneficiary of Marshall

I'm not expecting a great deal from Jeffreys simply because he's a rookie. Bennett needs more playing time. Get that Hester joker out of there.

He could easily throw for 4K yards, no doubt. But 1K-1.5K is eaten up by Marshal. That's only 2.5-3K for everyone else...and there is plenty to be shared by Jefferies, Hester, Davis and Bennett, and that's not including the RB's and other WR's and TE's. None of them could approach 1K and still have great years. The ball is going to be spread evenly amoung everyone besides Marshal and Forte. Hester is not the 2; but Jefferies is until they get Bennett out of the slot; which is where he was during OTA's.

Jesus ... BEARS as a PASSING team ... that has to think in for a bit.

Marshall will lead ... but whose next? Bennett is there. I dont know what Alshon has yet.

Still have Hester ... the rest of the WR corp ...

FORTE is back along with BUSH ... it can still be a ground and pound them game.

TIGHTENDS ... I just dont know. I know they want to copy N.E., everybody does.

We hired S.T. that can do double duty as WR's.

It could get nuts ... TOO MANY players at WR? God I hope so!

No Ric the ball isn't going to be spread evenly. Its going to go to people who actually get open, catch the ball and make plays. We're doing a new thing now in CHI. It goes without saying that Bennett is a guy that Cutler has incredible confidence in and he hasn't seen a substantial amount of playing time because Martz was not too bright when it came to evaluating these WRs. Knox is out. Notorious for route running issues. Hester drops a lot of balls and just disappears out there for long stretches. Bennett showed last year that he needs to be given the ball more. I like Jefferys potential but he's not a rookie WR being thrust into the starting lineup.

I'm actually kind of surprised you are so down on Bennett. You can't just look at his stat sheet and say well the guys numbers have been going down so he's not that good. Its all in how he was used and viewed by our former OC. Anyw ay not going to debate this issue anymore. I know that Cutler will have a great time hooking up with Marshall and Bennett. They are his only 2 proven commodities in the passing game.

    Gentlemen,

It looks like under the circumstances ... in order to keep up ...

it looks like YOUR CHICAGO BEARS are going airball.

I have to see this to believe it.

Ground game and defense ... that's been the root of our blood.

But that was before Stafford and Rodgers.

    Fuckin shit changes.
