What's nice is that the pressure is coming from the bottom up forcing your best players to compete...and it also means good players are going to be cut...but that is a better problem to have then it cutting guys that never stood a chance.

I'm with sox. It all comes down to how well these guys on the "bubble" can play ST along with their position. Sanz and Unga are two guys I hope we can keep but they're gonna need to crawl over some guys to stick.
Unga still has PS eligibility so that may be a place to store him if they decide to keep Clutts and Bell. If we don't keep Clutts then maybe Unga makes the final cut. Bell is an UFA next year and I don't see him sticking around to play behind Forte and Bush so maybe they keep Unga and see if they can get something in trade for Bell this summer.
Sanz has to prove that he can play ST better than Thomas and lose that case of the dropsies he had later last year. I know Cutler likes having him out there as an option and that could help.
For the first time in as long as I can remember we're probably gonna have to be the guys to let some guys go who will help other teams.

Hopefully he makes it so we can chant at some point, "Unga. Unga. Unga!" Much better than that KUHHHNNN.
Btw you guys ever noticed that it seems like there are no black Packers fans ever in the stadium? And I have seen some black Packers players turn around on the sideline looking as if they are ready to fight someone when the crowd goes, "KUHHHHHHHHHHHN!"
Just a personal observation from the Packers games I've caught.

I was watching a few.....video's.....where the lead actors were chanting that ;p
I still don't see him getting in, but I guess we'll see.

Politically incorrect but nevertheless true. Green Bay has a very small black population. Almost non-existent when I lived there. Not many jobs that far north. It's a pretty "clanish" area so you tend to get the better stuff through family or knowing someone who works where you're looking for a job.

I really hope we can keep him. I like him and he would get a roster spot NEXT YEAR with Bell and Clutts being UFAs.
Unga making some room for Forte/Bush could be a perfect combo

Unga will have to prove he's a 3 down back, and not just a situational RB. He's a bit similar to Bush. Big physical guy, rather than a Forte type. Bush looks like he could be our guy if Forte is injured, and be a solid 3 down guy. He's big/physical but has the other talents too. Bush is not a "one trick pony" RB. Unga needs to show that he can be likewise, if he wants to stick on the roster. He'll have to be the full package RB, including a solid blocker.
I know that Bell impresses most Bears fans to the max. But he looks like a very average talent to me. Not bad, but nothing special. Unga needs to impress that he is capable of being a special talent for the Bears. Something better than Bell. I don't know if he can do that. He's got an uphill battle.

Thanks For The Memories

Bells nothing special, but he's soild..his problem is fumbles and you cannot be merely solid and have fumbling problems. That being said, i'm not sure we need Unga and Clutts since Bush is already a brusier. We need a burner.
