A trend has formed in the league at the Tight End position. Big-play guys like Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski are becoming the norm. The Bears are evolving from what was a pass-happy offense that required a lot of blocking from tight ends and are now in uncharted territory with Mike Tice as the OC. We will soon see in what direction the TE position will go....
Now last time I checked there is only (1) Jimmy Graham and (1) Rob Gronkowski. Both these guys are in a very unique category and NO, big play TEs are not becoming the norm as very few teams even have a big play TE. Now there may be a desire for some teams to get a TE like those guys but they do not exist at the moment.
