OMG that's who and his failure at RT meant we had to move another OG (Louis) out to play RT which, in addition to not doing all that well himself, also put him farther behind in his development at OG.
Webb hasn't been injured so far but Carimi has and we've also lost CWill twice to injuries so at least two of the three OT's have injury histories. If we've learned anything this offseason it's that Emery will not allow the Bears to under prepared at key positions again. That's what most of FA was about. Bush, Campbell, Hayden, Wilhite, Rachal, Collins, Price are all players signed to add depth at key spots.
CWill represents experienced depth at both spots which may or may not be needed but he's currently the best insurance policy we have for that role. If James Brown continues to develop as an OT maybe he can be trusted with it but right now we don't know that and Tice needs to get these guys selected and let them work together. He already knows CWill can play LG so if Spencer fails and later on Brown can step in at either OT spot maybe it all changes but for now I can see why Tice is going the way he is.
