    Unga/Allen

So instead of having to suffer the main site to often, I set up a twitter account to follow some Chi town sports guys. I just asked Zach Zaidmen if he thought Unga or Allen had a chance to make it. He said probably none for Unga but Allen did have a chance.

Asked him about Sanz and Thomas also, but he hasn't responded. Hopefully by the end of the day. When I get home I'll try and decipher some of the tweets from the last few days for you. In general OT james brown, Alshon, Campbell, Thadeus all got some positive hype. Shea/Price/CWill not so much. Forte/Marhsal/Cutler/Tillman and another CB(Forget which one) also got postives.

Would be great to have a darkhorse come in and win the LT, only if he exceeds the spotty play we've had at LT lately.... On a completely off topic question: Tate was switched to LT with great effectiveness, why can't Carimi do the same?

This thread reminded me of the thread below that a member had started a few months back. It's a site he was working on to consolidate twitter news from all sorts of Bears players, writers, etc. Really cool way to keep up with stuff! Thanks for the reminder.

Wonder what he thinks about Clutts making it.

C'mon Unga! I am hoping he can impress whenever he gets a chance, late in preseason games or whatever. Doesn't sound like it's working out.

Bossk, I'm not a fan either, but what role does he play that isn't already taken by 2 other rb's(Bush/Clutts)? Allen on the other hand is going to fight Bell for his role.

No, no, don't misunderstand, I am a huge Unga fan. I used to work with his dad, and any way to keep him on my favorite team I am all for. So, to answer your question- special teams? I think Unga could be effective blocking and short yardage (remember his preseason run a couple years ago?), but can also catch and run from the backfield. The issue at hand is he may not be as fast as Bell or Allen, and not as good as Clutts can be as a fullback. IMO Unga>Allen and Bell. But I am prolly a minority in holding this opinion.

Well he might be BossK, for whatever reason he never was really given a shot last year w/the O to show himself the way Allen was. The team seems to over look him b/c they always bring in big battering ram RB's to back up Forte instead of letting him have a shot. I think he and Sanz might both miss the cut and the Bears will live to regret it.
