Just thought I'd stop in real quick to say hello and to say GO BEARS!!!
I've been super busy with work and the family, that I've pretty much walked away from message boards until the season starts. Well, the Bears play their first preseason game next Thursday against those damn Denver Broncos (I live near Denver...the Donkey's are the home team around here). Also, from the looks of the few short videos I've caught from the teams official site, I honestly can't contain my excitement for this coming season, any longer.
The OL is still very much a concern for me. McClellin is said to be struggling during this training camp as well. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he needs to build strength. I think he'll be fine though...but he probably won't really contribute until mid-season is my guess.
Forte is back in the fold...Marshall is a beast...I really like the young rookie TE, Evan Rodriguez and I think he's going to prove to be quite the weapon for Jay Cutler. Speaking of Cutler, I think he's primed for a big year. Earl Bennett is going to benefit from having Marshall on the field. Hester is going to do what Hester does. I also think that very quietly, Alshon Jeffrey is going to put up some very nice numbers with this team. OF COURSE, that all goes back to the OL...if they can't protect Cutler, then the passing game will suffer. If they can't open up holes for Forte and Bush, then the offense will suffer.
Point being, the OL had better pull their heads out of their asses!!!!
As for the defense, it's a veteran unit that I'm not worried about. I think they'll be solid, as per usual. I am a little concerned about the DT position. Because aside from Toe, Paea and Melton, there really isn't anyone there. Trading for Brian Price was a good move, but can he produce??
Other than that Bears fans, football season is almost here. I'm ready for some Bears football!!! GO BEARS!! BEAR DOWN!
