I'm not overly worried about Urlacher's knee, yet. His knee is getting used to the pounding of training camp still. It's gonna be sore. Hopefully by the first game it is back to game-shape or soon after.

"Give 100%. 110% is impossible. Only idiots recommend that." - Ron Swanson

Well, you remember what happened to Dick Butkus in 1970, don't you? I don't because I wasn't alive yet, but from what I read, he suffered a serious knee injury that never fully healed, and that ultimately led to his early retirement. Perhaps this is the foreshadowing of Urlacher's descent.
Urlacher suffered a sprained knee many months ago so we shouldn't have any cocncerns about him. If he tore a ligament I would be concerned but I don't see it as a big deal. Just give him some anti-inflammatory meds and he'll be alright. I'm sure they're 'treating' him night and day.

They didn't have scopes back then. Knee surgery was primitive by today's standards. They actually had to do "real" surgery back then and hack away. It was the same with Sayers too. Those guys would have had very different outcomes in today's world of far more sophisticated surgical techniques and scopes that are minimally invasive

Thanks For The Memories

Shea seems to be the "raw talent" type of player. He might not make an immediate impact this year, but give him a nother year or so and he should be just fine as he acclimates to the NFL
All this talk of Shea just reminds me of Chris Long. Long only had like 3-4 sacks his first year and not many his second or third even. Last year he finally broke out and dominated. I have a very good feeling Shea could be a cornerstone of our D in the future.

Clay Matthews - 6'03 - 240 ( pre draft ) 255 now :
Rookie season ; 51 tackles ,10 sacks, 45 qb pressures, 5 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble.
McClellin - 6'03 - 260 : if we get half of this ^^^^^ then it's a decent season ( and those are attainable numbers cuz he's a good athlete ). It'll mean he showed up / was noticeable, and I'll bet his numbers will go up consistently from there on.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
I think we're going to be shocked at how this guy just finds a way to get to the QB.
