Part of it is simply the fact we're all going nuts waiting for the season to actually begin. There really is no news so we're bored stiff (at least I am). Are you going to be able to get the game tomorrow on TV? I take it you live out east. Man, I can't wait to actually see these guys play (I'm driving my wife nuts while these last hours tick away until gametime tomorrow).

Part of it's also the track record of him sucking big old hairy balls; when you're ranked last to near last in your position you suck and there is no reason to think he's going to improve to the point of even average.

If he does, bonus, but to expect solid to great play from a proven dud is the very definition of insanity.

I recall a certain somebody telling fans to get over Walter Paytons birthday when all they were doing was reliving great memories of the greatest football player in NFL history.

The one thing I like most about this message board is that folks usually get along pretty well. So much better than the CBMB. I kept hoping BBPB would calm down a bit and co-exist in peace. I'm always amazed that people can't just "agree to disagree" rather than insult. Life's too short to get worked up like that.

We've got good peeps around, and we try very hard to avoid banning anyone (that makes the first in 2012, there was only 1 in 2011). After all, what is a messageboard without a little disagreement? However, in both of the instances I cited, the members literally dared us to ban them and then proceeded to poke/prod/insult staff/insult members/break rules until we did remove them. In general there is more going on with these types than most members are aware of on a daily basis.

Civility is a sign of maturity.

Thank you to the staff for tossing that jerk. We aren't choir boys here but there's no need for profane personal attack rants like that.
