Well shoot I don't want them respecting the Bears. I want them to eat a few baskets of crow. Esp. Dilfer. I'd like to see us be the most dis-respected, underestimated, under the radar, and overlooked. Always sweeter when you win that way.
I've been saying for years that ESPN has nothing against the Bears; but they were always seriously flawed...ie no qb, no quality wr etc etc. Now we have a quality qb, quality wr, still a really good D, really good run game and top ST's so of course they are giving us cred.
ESPN is a business, they want the 2nd largest football market to be good.
Fox is also even if the report started with scout.com

Yeah, that. The Bears and the Jets seem to be the two teams that the media WANTS to be good enough to win it all, despite not having done it in a looooong time.Quote:

This has nothing to do with respect. There are quite a few of us on here that actually know a great deal about football and know this is a SB caliber team. Then there are quite a few on here who have their head up their ass and don't recognize a great team when its in their own back yard. So this story is not something I'm impressed over. This team is legit.
The OL will tell the story. Everything else is in place. WE/ The BEARS go as far as the OL takes us. I sure hope WE/ The BEARS get there.
