Both "O" and "D" and slow mo, and stop action (really break down every single play). I think the right side or our oline had more problems than the left. Carimi got bulled around a bit. On the left side, Spencer was not so hot. Webb? Webb played a pretty decent game. One false start, but other than that he looked pretty solid last night.

This is my 3rd time through the game watching Webb. If you guys see something I don't, post it here. I'd like to cue it up and see it.

He had a couple of ugly plays, but that was it - including that first series against the #1's of Denver (the drive where Campbell fumbles). I'm not trying to pump up Webb as being great. But I don't see a bad night last night. I'm all for giving him a full game of reps. But that doesn't mean he sucked last night. They're just trying to get him max reps this off season to get his game where it needs to be.
I watch the OL too, but you are getting a better grasp since your watching more then once and in slow-mo. But Webb gave up a sack, false start and he was getting the chip help also. Correct me if Im wrong, thats what I seen. No way did our OL look anywhere near the Broncos OL.

EDIT Webb had chip help on one play, to the outside, amd let his man come to the inside. BAD BAD BAD Webb. lol. I think is problem is mental.

If that was late in the game that you saw that scotty, then that may have been brown, not webb. if it was brown, then i'm willing to give it a pass due to browns' inexperience.

Carimi struggled? That has me concerned. We can't afford to have to weak T's playing for us. I know that Carimi still has a learning curve to overcome since he's essentially a second year rookie, but still, it doesn't do a lot for morale to see or hear that he's struggling.

Carimi will be fine, but he did get bull rushed and shoved around a couple of times. It looked like a technique-thing to me. He will make great strides over the course of the pre-season games. Like the rest of our starters, I just think he needs game reps. I hope Tice works the starters hard this pre-season, with the exception of Garza who is older and doesn't need it.

The others? Work their tails off, so they can make the most of this pre-season work against other teams.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Thanks for the reassurance, JABF99. That sort of frightened me a bit when I read where you said that Carimi struggled. I was hoping that it had nothing to do with his knee being weak or whatever.

Carimi was also up against Elvis Dumervil, one of the best vets in the biz.

It could also mean that his knee was bothering him, too. Just because Elvis Dumervil is a Pro Bowler doesn't mean that we should use that as a crutch for Carimi to lean on. He's got to block all comers, and I think that if he can stay healthy, he will be a special, special player.

Dumervil was voted #68 by the players on the top 100.. There are veteran pro-bowl RT's who have problems dealing with Dumervil, are you honestly expecting Carimi to be the #1 RT in the NFL already?

Part of determining performance is an honest evaluation of the competition.

Healthy, and with more experience, Carimi will become an excellent RT. I agree with you on that.

BTW, Good to have you back and posting again Dags.

Thanks for the welcome back remark, Gorilla. It's good to be back. At least I don't have to temper what I say to keep from starting shit with someone who was a total troll.

As for your question, I think I answered it in the previous post. I don't expect Carimi to be the best RT in the league right now. As I said, I do expect to be one of the truly elite ones someday. All I meant was that the coaches need to continue working with him as closely as possible in order to make sure that he doesn't fail as a player. A lot of this, of course, will be dictated on Carimi's health, especially since he has a bad knee.
