Where is BigClaws when you need someone to come up with a good one-liner about something?

Sadly, Carimi will never see the light of day at LT for the Bears. However, he would be better at the position than Webb for sure and probably CWill. It was reported that CWill played very well on Thursday at RT, so I question Tice's logic on why he won't give Carimi a crack at the LT position when he can obviously fill the role admirably. That would solve the puzzle of getting Webb out of the lineup for good.

Can someone make a graphic of Tice humping Webb?

OK here's my thoughts on the situation for what it's worth..........
I believe Tice really wanted to give Gabe's knee a rest and Cwill was the best option to do so in order to protect Jay. The decision not to play Cutler was only made AFTER his wife gave birth and that's why he didn't play. He had more pressing matters on his plate with the new baby & all. Now that things are back to normal (if that's possible) the competition has resumed for the LT position. That's where we stand today. We have 3 more games left in the pre-season so I'm not going to be concerned unless things haven't worked themselves out by week 3. If not I'd be worried because we must have all the pieces in place by then for the sake of continuity.

But seriously, what is the point on the love? It goes back to when Tice was hair, lip, and hell that Angelo draft him because he saw a diamond in the rough. Where he gets the idea that Webb graded out so very well from last season is really ridiculous. The guy can't pass protect, and apparently, he didn't do much to run block Thursday either.

It's Webb who's the one with experience at both so maybe he's the one who should be the swing tackle.

I really don't give a squat who 'wins' the competition - all I wanna see is Cutler being able to function well enough to make this O go .... and stay healthy the entire season.

You may have hit on our solution to the LT problem Soul - McCaskey - Viginia McCaskey to be exact. The Old Lady could certainly upgrade our LT position (She's so much better than Webb or C.Will). I'll bet she still has a mean punch. And heaven only knows she can remember a snap count from the huddle to the snap.......Webb sure can't, but old Ginny can! Probably faster than Webb or C.Will in the 40 too (once she gets that aluminum walker going she's deceptively quick for an old gal. And Tice likes his oline mean and nasty. I'll bet the old girl would be MUCH meaner than Webb.

I think I'm gonna write Larry Mayer right now and ask him if this might be the solution to our LT woes! And I'll bet we could get 'er cheap and not blow much cap space on her.

Yep AND he lost some weight and has better BMI so he would be just as "athletic" as ol' Webb. I'm hoping that Carimi is just "cutting his teeth" at RT then jumps over to the other side.
